CETI is deploying an Industry 4.0 demonstrator for the design, development and production of 100% recyclable and recycled sanitary masks.

As the only French applied research centre equipped with industrial pilot lines integrating both mature Spunbond and Meltblown technologies, CETI experts develop and optimise the performance of the filtration media required for the manufacture of surgical and FFP2-type respiratory masks. Since 2020, CETI has contributed to the supply of Meltblown in France. Its production capacity reached 25 tonnes of Meltblown, enabling the supply of the French market with 25 million surgical masks.
